Used Volvo Certified - Volvo Canada

Each Certified used Volvo passes a rigorous certification process. We investigate its title history to ensure it’s "clean". We thoroughly inspect each area of the vehicle covering more than 130 points — and bring the vehicle up to our exacting specifications. Then, and only then, we certify the vehicle and issue a six-year/160,000 kilometer exclusionary warranty to the new owner (warranty is calculated from the original in-service date and zero kilometers). When you purchase a Certified used Volvo, you’ll have the same confidence and pride in your vehicle as you would a brand-new one — without the new-vehicle price tag. And, you don’t have to worry about the surprises you might find in a typical used car! Read more

The 2015 Volvo V60 Sportswagon Now Available

Mark Engelen, President and CEO of Volvo Canada, unveiled the 2015 V60 Sportswagon at it's Canadian premiere at the Montreal International Auto Show. At the same time, he said that the V60 would be immediately available at all Volvo dealers, starting at the suggested price of $39,800. Orders for several of these vehicles had already been reserved in advance. We can therefore assume that there is indeed an interest in these cars. This car will be joining the Volvo family worldwide. The V60 Sportswagon has a very sporty silhouette that moves away from the traditional family vehicle. What remains is Volvo's continued tradition of not compromising on safety. A new, sophisticated software program has extended the information available, including a blind spot alert and lane departure warning systems. Volvo's City Safety program now works at speeds of up to 50 km/h and also detects both pedestrians and cyclists.

Purchases Delivered To Your Car

We live in a world where the days really need to be longer than 24 hours. When we entered this technological era, we were promised that we would have more time for leisure. Wrong! Thanks to the technological age, we spend more time in front of our computers, smart phones or writing on social networks. We spend all week slavishly working in order to pay for all of these gadgets. How many of you do not buy online, because you can't be certain that you'll be at home to receive the delivery? Volvo has a solution! At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Volvo will present a new form of "traveling delivery" service. With this new technology, consumers can select their car as the destination address of their purchases. With the help of a smart phone, the owner will be informed when a company wants to drop off a delivery or make a pickup of an item at their car.

Volvo Putting Self Driving Cars On The Road

Volvo has announced that they intend to have 100 self driving cars on Swedish roads by 2017. Named The Drive Me Project, the self driving Volvos will be on the roads of Swedish city Gothenburg within 4 years. Swedish automaker Volvo is considered one of the world's leader in autonomous cars. The company has already developed systems that allow vehicles to park themselves, avoid forming parking jams and to travel together safely in "road trains." Next, Volvo plans to have 100 of it's self-driving cars on the streets of Gothenburg. The Drive Me pilot project involves self-driving cars for sustainable mobility. It is a collaboration between the City of Gothenburg, Volvo Car Group, Lindholmen Science Park, the Swedish Transport Agency and the Swedish Transport Administration. The project hopes "to pinpoint the societal benefits of autonomous driving and position Sweden and Volvo Cars as leaders in the development of future mobility."
